ABOUT ME

Honesto Avellanosa III lives in Davao City. His friends call him Nonoy. He is currently a content creator in his YouTube channel Cebu and Davao Journey and Cebu-Davao Adventures. Before he engaged himself in video creation: editing, directing, writing, he landed different jobs in Internet Marketing industry, particularly content writing, SEO, Social Media Marketing, and Google Adwords campaign/Facebook Ads Campaign. He also had call center experience in few companies in Cebu when he was relocated in 2007. Prior to his career as Internet marketer, he was a voracious reader and researcher, which made him write essays, short stories, articles, screenplays, on a regular basis. The reason for his engagement in Literature was due to, apart from his love for the written word, the finacial struggle of his family in the early 2000s. He made it as a shield against an integrating force of poverty. He also was a musician before his family members began to hear the clickety-clack of his typewriter in his bedroom. He had written several songs for his rock band "The Happiest" from 1994 to 2004, which can be heard on Spotify, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Apple music, and among others. His short story titled "Faith" was first published in a local daily newspaper Sun Star on January 9, 2023 through davao Writers Guild online publication Dagmay. 

He didn't finish college.

I remember when I was a little boy, maybe 10 years old, when I was at our dining table to eat I would put pieces of viands in my spoon to make a mountaintop of different variety of foods, including the rice, and dumped them all in my mouth and say, Mmm sarap, while I chew the food. DAVAO CHINATOWN

Ano nga bang aasahan mo po pag narining mo ang lugar na CHINATOWN, at ito ay gusto mong puntahan? Pansit, pero di pangkaraniwang pansit; yung chinese foods, pagkaing inchik, uy indi yung bat soup ha? Yung tradisyonal na pagkain sa China tulad ng well, ano nga ba? Sandali lang nasa Pilipinas tayo, at nasa Davao ako. Ganito na lang. Chinese Pinoy foods o pagkaing pinoy na impluwensya ng bansang Tsina. Panstio oo. Yung noodles talaga ang jinahanap ko. Ano ka ba e di pumunta ka na lang sa China. Ano ka ba? Pero at least, may makikita ako nung tulad nito: Nang nakarating ako iba ang nakita ko. Don ko na realize na walang Chinese Restaurants sa Ramon Magsayasay, ang chinatown ng davao. Dito ko inaasahan.
